Isolite System
The Isolite System is a dental device we use during dental procedures here at Dr Be Smiles to isolate and protect the oral cavity, improve patient comfort, and increase efficiency. It is a mouthpiece designed to fit comfortably in the patient's mouth and provides both suction and illumination to allow the dentist to work faster and better.
The Isolite System mouthpiece is soft and flexible and rests on the patient’s teeth. The mouthpiece contains a small, disposable bite block that keeps the patient's mouth open and comfortable during the procedure. The device also includes a built-in suction system that removes saliva, water, and debris from the patient's mouth, keeping the area dry and visible to the dental professional.
In addition to its suction capabilities, the Isolite System includes a built-in LED light that illuminates the oral cavity, making it easier for the dentist to see and work. This is especially useful to ensure and improve precision and accuracy for procedures such as cavity fillings, crown preparations, and root canals.

The Benefits of the Isolite System
Increased Patient Comfort
The Isolite System's soft, flexible mouthpiece and built-in suction system reduce patients' need to constantly swallow or rinse, improving their comfort during the procedure.
Improved Visibility
The device's LED light and suction capabilities help to keep the oral cavity dry and well-lit, making it easier for the dentist to carry out the necessary work.
Increased Efficiency
The Isolite System's suction capabilities eliminate the need for a dental assistant to hold a suction device, freeing the assistant to perform other tasks during the procedure.

Enhanced Safety
By keeping the oral cavity dry and visible, the Isolite System reduces the risk of aspiration and other complications that can arise during dental procedures.
The Isolite System Procedure
Preparation
The dentist prepares the Isolite system by attaching the device to a flexible arm over the patient's mouth. The dentist then selects the appropriate mouthpiece size for the patient.
Placement
The mouthpiece is inserted into the patient's mouth, and the dentist positions the Isolite system to provide optimal illumination and suction.
Suction
The Isolite system provides continuous suction to remove excess saliva, blood, and debris from the mouth during the dental procedure. This improves visibility and reduces the risk of aspiration and other complications.

Illumination
The Isolite system also provides bright, direct light onto the treatment area, allowing the dentist to see clearly and work more efficiently.
Removal
After the dental procedure, the Isolite system is removed from the patient's mouth, and the mouthpiece is sterilized for reuse or disposed of.
The Isolite System is a valuable device for dental professionals and patients, improving the quality and efficiency of dental procedures while enhancing patient comfort and safety. For more information, visit Dr Be Smiles at 4511 N Midkiff Rd, Suite E-15, Midland, TX 79705, or call (432) 520-4867.
